Lilli Ann
This famous American label was registered in 1933 by Adolf Schuman. Fabrics were specially imported from France and Italy, many made expressly for Lilli Ann. These fabrics were bought from mainly small textile companies that were in dire financial straits after the war and in danger of closing. As a result, Schuman was credited with saving many of these from financial ruin and in official recognition for his services was awarded Medals of Honour from both France and Italy.  On the other hand, the Lilli Ann customer knew that their suits, coats and dresses were made of the highest quality, hand-loomed fabric. Lilli Ann was also recognised for its innovative designs and construction techniques. The label received the Gold Medal in Fashion Design, America's highest award in fashion. Nowadays, there is huge demand for Lilli Ann apparel from collectors and fashionistas around the world. It must be said that this label is one of my all-time favourites as many of you may know...:)

Condition

Excellent.

Both coat and dress are in excellent condition. Deadstock without tags, never been worn.  The dress has a couple of tiny spots the size of a pinhead on the lower skirt, really not worth mentioning and you would never notice unless looking for them. As this is deadstock, I haven't cleaned it, and most likely these would be removed on dry cleaning.

Please note that these are vintage items that have been used and loved over the years, As such, they may display slight evidence of their age. Any notable flaws above and beyond this will be highlighted here.

Comment

Lovely, seldom seen style of Lilli Ann ensembles. Great silhouette highlighted by the faux fur trim. It's such a treat to have acquired these in such excellent, deadstock condition. Please drop us a line if you require additional information about this listing.
