*Vintage 1950s commercially made high-end wool suit

* Flecked wool fabric in black and cream with yellow occasional flecks

* Classic silhouette with a defined waist and straight skirt

* Jacket has long sleeves with turnover cuffs

* V-shaped curved collared neckline

* Full peplum from wait to hips

* Collar and peplum are edged in black velvet

* Three self-fabric buttons for closure

* Skirt is straight

* Jacket fully lined in black fabric and skirt lined at seat

* Label reads Lilli Ann

Lilli Ann
This famous American label was registered in 1933 by Adolf Schuman. Fabrics were specially imported from France and Italy, many made expressly for Lilli Ann. These fabrics were bought from mainly small textile companies that were in dire financial straits after the war and in danger of closing. As a result, Schuman was credited with saving many of these from financial ruin and, in official recognition for his services, was awarded Medals of Honour from both France and Italy. On the other hand, Lilli Ann customers knew that their suits, coats and dresses were made of the highest quality, hand-loomed fabric. Lilli Ann was also recognised for its innovative designs and quality construction. The label received the Gold Medal in Fashion Design, America's highest award in fashion. Nowadays, there is a high demand for this label from collectors and fashionistas from around the world. It must be said that this label is one of my all-time favourites as many of my customers know

Currently, standard packages within Australia take 4 to 6 business days from receipt of the package at the Post Office. However, there may be exceptions due to the impact of COVID-19. Overseas packages take between 7 to 10 days.

We also offer expedited DHL shipping which provides a fast and reliable shipping option if you prefer quick receipt of your item.

Availability
This item is within our selling stock. In the unlikely event that two buyers purchase this item concurrently, payment will be immediately refunded to the latter purchaser. We apologize in advance should this rare circumstance arise.

LayBys/Layaways
Yes we do offer flexible layby/layaway options and are open to negotiation as to the time period. Obviously, the more expensive the item the longer the time you will have to finalise payment. Contact us to see how accommodating we can be :)

Alterations
Obviously, as these are one-off pieces, the fit may not be quite what you need. To this end, we also offer an alteration service by professional seamstresses. Please shoot us an email outlining what you want and we will quickly respond with a quote and timeframe. Costs are kept to a minimum for this service.
