* Very full panelled skirt with pellon stiffening
* White tulle petticoat attached to waist
*Bodice also has pellon stiffening

Suzy Perette
The Suzy Perette label was a registered trademark of Lombardy Dress (founded as Lombardy Frocks in 1930) and registered in 1954. A sister label to Suzy Perette was the Gigi Young Fashions label (late fifties to 1966). This label followed the same successful style formula of Suzy Perette but as a less expensive line.
Suzy Perette was greatly influenced by Parisian fashions, with the silhouette of cinched waist and full skirt extremely popular in the early fifties. In fact, the Suzy Perette label acquired the right to incorporate Christian Dior's designs into their own product range- and this dress is a wonderful example!
Condition
Such an eye-catching dress and obviously a Dior copy!! It presents beautifully but has two light stripes of the slightest fading down the right side area. This produces an ombre effect, as it tones in so well it is hardly noticeable when worn. The last photo highlights the issue, it was very difficult to actually photograph the fading. Apart from that no major issues that I can see. This dress is an absolute stunner!! Shown with a crinoline and belt that are not included in the listing. Cleaned and ready to wear.
