Louis Feraud
In 1950, Louis Féraud created his first "Maison de Couture" in Cannes and by 1955 had established a couture house in Paris on 88, Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré and 57, rue Pierre-Charonne. From the mid-1950s he was dressing the Parisian elite including designing the wardrobe of the famous French movie actress Brigitte Bardot's for many of her movies. It wasn't until 1958 that he presented his first haute couture collection in Paris. In the early 60s, he hired the designers Jean-Louis Scherrer, Margit Brandt and Per Spook. A major player in the development of the Space Age look, Feraud along with fellow French designers, ensured that this new modern style vibrated around the world. Feruad won many awards for fashion design during his lifetime as well as being a decorated Officier de la Legion d'Honneur. In 2003, Jean-Paul Knott left Féraud and that July the worldwide flagship store opened in Paris at 400 rue Saint-Honoré.

This vintage dress has been carefully looked after and is in excellent condition for its age. The only blemish I can see is one minor surface nibble at the back of the skirt and some minor tiny marks - nothing major or very noticeable at all. Belt not included.
