Toni Todd
R & M Kaufmann, Inc was inaugurated in Aurora, Illinois during the 1900s. The owners were brothers who produced high quality but moderately priced dresses and sleepwear. They were able to keep prices low by mass producing garments in their own factories. In fact, their motto was "Only the LOOK is expensive." Sales grew steadily through the use of full page advertisements in Seventeen, Mademoiselle and Charm magazines as well as the use of live television commercials on shows such as "Beat the Clock." The Kaufmann's produced under several labels including the Toni Todd line which specifically targeting younger women. The company was sold to Russ Togs in 1969.
Condition
This dress is in great condition for its age. No major issues that I can see. Tiniest bit of wash fade and a couple of spots on the skirt but really nothing noticeable that detracts from its overall presentation. Really not worth mentioning. The dress present beautifully as can be seen. Cleaned and ready to wear. Please drop us a line if your require additional information about this listing.
