Note: Measurements are taken from the outside. The garment is measured flat with the tape stretched tightly from seam to seam. This is the maximum size allowable, so please consider individual fit and comfort.

* Vintage early 1960s cocktail dress

* Bodice is made from a rich claret velvet and the skirt is in a champagne-coloured damask

* Sleeveless with a wide boat-shaped neckline

* Cinched waist with a typical full-skirted 60s silhouette

* Amazing built-in rose petal dangling corsage with green leaves

* Low back with metal zipper

Condition 

Great condition for its age. I have photographed the underarm to show the crushing of the velvet at this location (often seen on vintage velvet dresses mainly due to the deodorant used in those days) and some very light stains (2) on the skirt. Neither takes away from the drama and impact of this dress.

Please note that these are vintage items with a previous life, so minor signs of wear are almost inevitable. These signs could include previous alterations, repairs, frays, minor stitch defects or small marks. But please, don't expect the item to be in pristine, unworn condition - unless otherwise stated.
