Description
* Lovely 1950s commercially made dress
* Fabric is turquoise blue glazed cotton
* Florentine style scrollwork pattern in white, gold, pink, blue and green
* Classic silhouette with a fitted waist and full skirt
* Shirt cap sleeves on bodice with a boat neckline
* Scrollwork is designed to give a cummerbund effect at the waist
* Very full skirt that is sewn in panels to provide the arch effect on the scroll work
* Deep back with ties at centre and metal zipper for closire
* Lined bodice, pinked seams with handstitched hem
* Label reads Scuderi of Italy
Scuderi
I have been unable to find a great deal of information on this label, apart from it being active in the 1950s through to the 1960s. All the dresses I have either owned or seen of this label have been expertly made and feature quality fabrics, many of high-grade polished cotton. There is A Scuderi label operating currently but it produces high quality men's suits only.
Condition
Excellent.
No notable flaws that I can see - other than a couple of marks on the skirt, these are very small and have lightened considerably when laundered. I am sure they will fade even more with subsequent washes. A typical spot is seen on the last image.

This item is within our selling stock. In the unlikely event that two buyers purchase this item concurrently, payment will be immediately refunded to the latter purchaser. We apologise in advance should this rare circumstance arise.
Postage
We make every effort to post your item within 1-3 days of payment. Should a circumstance arise where we are unable to post within this timeframe (eg we are away at a fair) we will contact you immediately. Please note that our postage charges are based on standard international and domestic air packages - all with tracking. If you want to upgrade to express postage or require insurance, please contact us prior to checkout and we will adjust the rates accordingly.
LayBys/Layaways

Obviously, as these are one- off pieces, the fit may not be quite what you need. To this end, we also offer an alteration service by professional seamstresses. Please shoot us an email outlining what you want and we will quickly respond with a quote and timeframe. Costs are kept to a minimum for this service.
