Description
* Vintage 1930s crepe day dress
* Green colour with black abstract butterflies (guess only)
* Bodice has a V-neckline with curved smocking at the bust
* Black stitching on darts that radiate in an arc from under bust to dropped waist
* Panelled skirt that falls gently around the silhouette
* Long sleeves with darts at the elbow, finishing in a peak at the wrist and closed with self-covered buttons
* Self-fabric belt secured with hook and eyes
* Back has radiating darts with black stitching at the neckline
* No label and no lining
Condition
Generally excellent vintage condition - no breaks to fabric and an even colour throughout.
The only issue is a few light brown marks - a spot under bust, and what appears to be splashed liquid on a couple of paces on skirt - again very faint. Rust mark on the underside of one placket at the wrist, but not seen when worn. These marks appeared to lighten when laundered and treated with a natural spot remover. Easily worn as is and may disappear completely with subsequent washes. I have included a couple of photos for reference, one shows the dot under the bust and the other a splash on the skirt. The black snake clip on the belt is for photographic purposes only.
Please note that these are vintage items that have been used and loved over time, As such, they may display slight evidence of their age. Any notable flaws will be highlighted.
