* 1950s black balloon Balenciaga style ruched cocktail dress
* Black silk taffeta with tulle reinforcement
* Bodice with peaked neckline and deep surplice cut
* Multi-tiered and angled bubble wrap from hips to underneath the buttocks
*Hemline reinforced for structure
* Amazing neckline with off shoulder peaked sleeves
* Metal side zipper and fully lined
* Couture quality. Label reads Simpsons Madison(department store) and Mignon Paris New York (manufacturer)
Condition
This vintage dress has been carefully looked after and is in excellent condition for its age. Remember this dress is over sixty years old with no notable flaws that I can see. Perhaps a little bit of seam stress in places.
