* Late 1950s gorgeous ivory polished (glazed) cotton

* Printed front and  back with long orange & yellow single stem roses & rosebuds with           green leaves

* Classic silhouette with a fitted bodice and full gathered skirt

* Bodice with faux button front and square neckline

* Contrast orange cotton cummerbund waist

* Skirt lined with pellon for added fullness

* Back metal zipper

 

Comment

This striking dress presents beautifully. It could possibly be old store stock, the polished cotton is crisp and has a wonderful lustre, No faults that I can see to the dress exterior, perhaps in need of a wash as it looks like it has been in storage for some time. No nasty odours though. On close inspection, here is a small tear to the internal pellon stiffening near the zipper base - obviously not visible from the exterior. Other than that the dress is in wonderful condition.

Shown with a crinoline for presentation purposes. I have added ribbon ties to the shoulder area for the photoshoot as the cut of this dress makes me feel it could very well have had optional ties at the shoulder. I have shown the dress with and without the ribbons and they are included in the listing.
