Description
* Vintage late 1950s to early1960s white pique sundress
* Pattern features gorgeous red roses with trailing stems and green leaves
* Classic silhouette with cinched waist and shaped skirt
* Sleeveless bodice with low scooped neckline
* Large star shaped self bow backed in pink cotton
* Gently shaped sheath skirt with pleats
* Fully lined in white cotton
* Back metal zipper appears commercially made
Condition
In excellent vintage condition for its age, very slight colour variation in the white pique in bodice from the skirt. The bodice is a creamier white than the skirt I have had two others with this design in various colours of the years and they all had a variation between the colour of the bodice and the skirt - as have listings from other vendors. In my opinion it's not a major issue - just look at the photos they tell the story. No colour bleed or colour tinge in the skirt and the colours remain vibrant and free from fade. How rare and desirable is this print? Perhaps the holy grail for many vintage collectors. This one is in wonderful condition and the design and detail in the roses is to die for.
