* Label reads Serbin of Florida
Serbin was a sportswear company owned by Lewis and John Serbin. The company was founded in 1943, and was located in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1951 the family moved the company to South Florida, and became known as Serbin of Florida. Their manufacturing plant, however, was located in Fayetteville, Tennessee. Serbin was known for their golf wear and, particularly for their Miami resort style dresses, which were very colourful and well constructed. The company closed in 1991.
Condition
This is an absolutely gorgeous dress, the photos don't do justice to this wonderful item.polished cotton fabric has a great sheen and body. The eye-catching print is vibrant and really pops out. It is in excellent condition for its age, nothing major to report...there is a little bit of seam stress at the back waist .
