Nettie started making clothing professionally as early as 1919, and by 1931 had started her own label. Her fame spread rapidly, so much so that in 1937 Life Magazine described Rosenstein as one of the most highly regarded American designers of the era. She was also one of the first recipients of the Neiman Marcus Fashion Awards on its launch in 1938. In 1940, Rosenstein clothing was sold out of 92 shops and department stores across the USA, at prices ranging from $98 to $500. Whilst these prices were beyond the range of most consumers, Rosenstein's designs were so widely copied that she still influenced the average American woman's wardrobe. One such design was the "little black dress" - so versatile that it could go from day to evening merely by accessorizing. In fact, she was recognized for her accessories and striking costume jewelry. Nettie made a significant contribution to the development of the domestic high fashion industry in America.

Condition

Very good vintage condition.

The only issues worth mentioning is some seam stress, but there are also a couple of areas with some stains. I have highlighted these in one of the photographs. Although they blend in somewhat and not in a very conspicuous place,  I could arrange for my tailor to actually create a seam and that would eliminate the larger stain completely should the new owner request this.

Please note that these are vintage items that have been used and loved over the years, As such, they may display slight evidence of their age. Any notable flaws above and beyond this will be highlighted here.

We now offer an alternate express delivery service via DHL for those of you who want your packages more expediently. This option is currently delivering packages within a seven-day timeframe from pick-up.

Availability
This item is within our selling stock. In the unlikely event that two buyers purchase this item concurrently, payment will be immediately refunded to the latter purchaser. We apologise in advance should this rare circumstance arise.
