* Beautiful late 1950s to early 1960s blue cotton dress and stole
* Fabric design features a Hawaiian pattern with pink hibiscus and green & mustard leaves
* Classic silhouette with cinched waist and full skirt
* Sleeveless chemise style bodice with ties for halter neckline
* Matching fabric stole that can be worn in a variety of ways
* Bell-shaped skirt with knife pleats from centre flat panel
* Meticulously finished, fully lined, pinked seams, and hand-sewn hem
* Back with hook and eye and metal zipper for closure

Rappi
I have yet to find detailed information about this label although I know it is very much sought after by collectors for its fabulous designs and fabrics. All the Rappi dresses I have owned have been exceptional, as is this particular example. Thanks to Couture Allure Vintage Fashion Blog I discovered that the driving force behind the label was Viennese-born, Syd Rappaport. She was noted for her high end ready-to-wear cocktail and evening fashions on par with Ceil Chapman and Malcolm Star. Rappaport largely concentrated on youthful designs with an emphasis on quality and sophistication.
Condition
This dress and matching stole are in excellent condition for their age. No flaws that I can see. Cleaned and ready to wear.
Please note that these are vintage items that have been used and loved over the years, As such, they may display slight evidence of their age. Any notable flaws will be highlighted.

Currently, standard packages within Australia take 4 to 6 business days from receipt of the package at the Post Office. However, there may be exceptions due to the impact of COVID-19. Overseas packages take between 7 to 10 days.
We also offer expedited DHL shipping which provides a fast and reliable shipping option if you prefer quick receipt of your item.
Availability

LayBys/Layaways

Obviously, as these are one-off pieces, the fit may not be quite what you need. To this end, we also offer an alteration service by professional seamstresses. Please shoot us an email outlining what you want and we will quickly respond with a quote and timeframe. Costs are kept to a minimum for this service.
