* Lovely 1950s ivory silk blend dress
* Fabric design features red roses on various coloured green tone leaves
* Classic silhouette with cinched waist and full skirt
* Sleeveless chemise bodice with v shaped neckline and shawl collar
* Collar features a 3D rose fabricated from self fabric
* Very full skirt with straight panel at front bordered by facing wide knife pleats
* Bodice is lined with added underarm protection pads and internal tape belt
* Hand finished and selvedges seams with hand finished hem
* Low back with opened collar and metal zipper and side stays for support
Condition
This is a quality dress with professional construction. The fabric is also very beautiful. The only issue to note is that the green leaves to the bottom of the dress are slightly lighter than the remainder of the dress. Interestingly the inside hem is exactly the same. In any case, hardly noticeable when worn. The applique rose is beautifully fashioned with padded leaves stitched to simulate veins on the leaves.
