Description
* Late 1950s crisp white background cotton commercially made dress
* Fabric design featured clusters of peach and tangerine coloured roses
* Classic silhouette with a fitted waist and wide skirt
* Bodice is sleeveless with a squared neckline and thick shoulder straps
* Contrasting green grosgrain ribbon is woven through the upper waist and finishes mid back
* Skirt is full with knife-pleats at waist
* Back with metal zipper
* Unlined, raw seams with unfinshed machined hem
* Label reads Kerrybrooke Fashions
Kerrybrooke fashions was an in-house clothing line for Sears Roebuck & Company - a pioneer in the mail order catalogue business. The Sears catalog became known in the industry as "the Consumers' Bible" The Kerrybrooke line operated from the 1940s through to the 1970s.
Condition
Excellent.
No notable flaws that I can see, the original olive green grosgrain belt is slightly faded in places. I used an orange ribbon woven through the dress as an alternative as the colour brings out the orange in the dress. The green belt is secured at a seam at the back and two press studs remain where there would have been a bow attached. I will be happy to replace the ribbon with the colour of your choice. The hem has dropped as well and will need to be finished to your desired length. The fabric retains its brightness without fading.

We make every effort to post your item within 1-3 days of payment. Should a circumstance arise where we are unable to post within this timeframe (eg we are away at a fair) we will contact you immediately. Please note that our postage charges are based on standard international and domestic air packages - all with tracking. If you want to upgrade to express postage or require insurance, please contact us prior to checkout and we will adjust the rates accordingly.

Alterations
Obviously, as these are one-off pieces, the fit may not be quite what you need. To this end, we also offer an alteration service by professional seamstresses. Please shoot us an email outlining what you want and we will quickly respond with a quote and timeframe. Costs are kept to a minimum for this service.
